Our Head Chef, Ben, and his team have developed a mouth-watering menu to ensure your Christmas meal at The Rising Sun will be the best.
The Christmas menu is available for parties of up to 50 people from 1st to 23rd December.
> Sauté wild mushrooms with feta, toast rye and truffle oil
> Pressing of chicken with pickles, toast and chutney
> Smoked salmon and cream cheese cannelloni with cucumber, radish and dill
> Cauliflower and roasted chestnut soup
> Roast turkey breast and stuffed leg with roast potatoes, chipolata and buttered greens
> Venison and juniper pudding, confit of pork belly, roast potatoes, cavolo nero
> Braised ox cheek with smoked mash, pancetta, onions, mushrooms, kale and horseradish beignet
> Pan fried sea trout with saffron potatoes, spinach velouté and crispy shallots
> Grilled aubergine nut roast with dauphinoise, tender-stem broccoli and roasted tomato sauce
> Christmas pudding with whipped brandy cream and toasted hazelnuts
> Sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel popcorn and vanilla bean ice-cream
> Poached pear with mulled cider sauce and confit orange sorbet
> Chocolate brownie with honeycomb vanilla bean ice-cream
